While I was shopping a clothes rack came down on top of me injuring my hand. I have been to the hand specialist for treatment. Everything looks great now, 6 months later.
How much should I ask for from the store's insurance company?
They keep calling me and I don't know. My hand is fine now and should be in the future. Thanks.

ANSWER for "Is this a valid premises liability case?":
Janet (Elkton, MD):
I would need to know how the rack came down (to determine liability) and a few more details about the incident to give a proper analysis.
Secondly, unless you have some medical expenses attributed to this injury, it is unlikely that any claim would settle for much. If you are able to provide a few more details, I am sure we can give you a more thorough evaluation of your case.
