Kid Injured While At a Playground

Submitted By: Anonymous

Two children are playing football at a playground.

One child stumbles and bumps their head on a playground structure.

The parents of the injured child are suing after filing a report, 2 months after the incident. What should the defendant do in this situation? Do the parents have a case?

Dear Anonymous,

Parents may have a case depending on what caused the child to fall and if the playground’s construction conformed with all codes.

Defendant should notify their insurance carrier – if they haven’t already. The carrier will assign a law firm to handle it.

The above is general information. Laws change frequently, and across jurisdictions. You should get a personalized case evaluation from a licensed attorney. Find a local attorney to give you a free case review here , or call (888) 647-2490.

Best of luck,
