I was rear ended at a red light in a 4 car pile up. The last driver didn't stop and struck one car which struck another and then struck me. I was in the front so I was only hit from behind.
Who's insurance will pay for the damages done to my truck and also the chiropractic work? Thanks.

ANSWER for "Who Is Liable in Multiple Car Pile Ups?":
Buckle up. You are about to take a roller coaster ride. It is almost impossible at this time to tell you which driver is the at-fault driver. Fault may be shared among some or all of the drivers. A good starting point is to take a look at the Police Report. In most cases a Police Report apportions blame in multiple car pile ups.
In multi-car collisions there are usually several negotiations going on. You can be sure each driver’s insurance company (with the exception of yours) will be pointing the finger at each other’s driver for “following too closely”.
Let’s presume for the sake of argument the entire cause of the collision(s) lay clearly and unmistakably with the first driver – maybe because he was intoxicated. And let’s further presume the first driver had an insurance policy of 25/100. That means for one driver the maximum liability insurance available is $25,000, and $100,000 for multiple injuries. If the 4 cars involved included yours there should be $25,000 of liability insurance available for each driver.
The best advice we can give you is to find a qualified Personal Injury Attorney. The old expression “The fur will be flying” certainly applies here.
