Unfortunately, inasmuch as you were terminated from your employment at the time of your injury, you are not covered by workers’ compensation. Moreover, even if you were injured while you were working, if you had completed your work day and were leaving the building when you were injured, you would not be covered.
However, you likely have a third-party injury claim against the owner and manager of the building. You may be found to have some comparative negligence, but you would likely still be entitled to some compensation.
