I am on a bunch of diabetes medicines: levimere, novolog, glimperide, januvia, and I have been on actos, byetta, and a few more. I just had a cancerous mass removed from my only remaining kidney and sent for testing. We’re waiting for outside results but the preliminary results show that it’s cancerous.
I’m wondering if there are any class action lawsuits on any of these medications? How would I find out if any of them have the potential to cause cancer? How else could I pursue this issue? Thanks for any information you can give.

A class action is basically one lawsuit representing a large number of plaintiffs who have suffered similar harm from a defendant. In most cases a single plaintiff and his or her attorney will have a difficult time suing a large company, especially when a single plaintiff’s damages are too small for one law firm to accept.
By joining together, hundreds, and sometimes thousands of plaintiffs will usually be able to convince a single law firm to represent them. Because class action lawyers work on contingency basis, their fee upon winning the case will be substantial enough to make the case worth pursuing.
Upon winning, each plaintiff will share in the settlement or jury verdict. The percentage of each plaintiff’s settlement will depend upon the amount of damages he or she sustained.
